An awesome left facing corner is where you begin.  The first pitch is slick and ends at a ledge. Pitch 2 has the crux 10c layback. After that 4 shorter pitches get you to the end of the route, where you can rap with 1 60m rope.

Peasant's Route

Scramble up the Uwall ramp. 
  
 P1. From the Uwall approach ramp, get to the right side, clip the bolt and start left on ledges then up the face past bolts and maybe gear (11a).  
  
 P2. Up and left past 5 bolts to a stance and a belay station (5.10). 
  
 From here I think you can continue up into an 11b or A0 pitch up a sustained groove to another anchor (this is Never Were Warriors). 
  
 Two raps back to the ground. More if you continue up Never Were Warriors. You can also rap over to the Kneewrecker Chimney and/or the 10c pitch of Ghostdancing on the way down.

Scramble up the U Wall access ramp a little ways. Ends up being pretty much straight above Seasoned in the Sun. The climb starts by taking bolts up and left off of the ledge.
Bolts plus medium sized cams and nuts.

Aged in Oak

Fun new addition to the Grand Wall Base area.  
  
 P1 tackles a typical Squamish finger crack corner.  The bottom was quite wet, even after a dry spell... but it was easy enough to pull through on a piece of gear to bypass the wet spot.  End at a bolted anchor above the alcove. 
  
 P2 The business.  Work into the arch and place your #4 in the first wide pod.  Good feet keep appearing, and when they start to vanish the crack gets good in the corner.  Good gear throughout.  The crux is probably the last 15 feet, and the two bolts take the edge off. 
  
 Clip the anchor and have your partner lower you to the anchor 60' below (about the same height as your belayer)... much better stance there!

Head climber's right from the base of Exasperator up the short hill.  At the top of the hill look for a right facing corner that leads to a beautiful arch.  Can't miss it.
Double rack small nuts to #3 camalot plus one #4 camalot.

Flex Capacitor

Seasoned in the Sun is would make a great warm up for a day of 5.10 climbing at the Chief, and in some ways is more enjoyable than Exasperator: no finger buckets/pinscars, bouldery crux at bottom and super-sustained hands at top, all in a cool, rarely visited part of the Grand Wall "base" area. Highly, highly recommended.

From the base of the Grand Wall, where Apron Strings, Exasperator, and Peasant's Route all start, hike left along the base of the cliff (the Flake Escape start to the Grand is over here, too). It's always farther than I remember, but keep going: you can't miss the beautiful splitter going straight up from the trail, which peters out pretty quick after that.
TCUs, cams to 2.5 inches or so, set of nuts. Fixed anchors at the top with rap rings, and you can TR and rap with a 60, but it will be close, so knot the ends of your rope!

Seasoned in the Sun

A full on, classic-quality, right angling off fingers to thin fingers dihedral past a ledge. Lieback you way up this low angle beauty then make some face moves left to the anchor after clipping the bolt on the face. Don't go too high at the bolt or youhave to reverse it and start the traverse all over again. The book calls this pitch 10b. 
  
 Worth noting that more bolts continue above the anchor. I think this continues into Never Never Land (7p 12a).

Left of Seasoned in the Sun, where the main path curves left and away from the wall into the wood, stay on a faint trail right at the base of the wall and keep going uphill. You will know when you see it. Splitter off fingers on a low angle slab looking right at you. All in all just a few hunder meters uphill from Seasoned.
Doubles of green alien (blue tcu) to .75 camalot. Single #1 and #2 camalot. You could get by with just one green alien too. Like lots of Squamish, you could use 3 or 4 in the off fingers size. I usually roll with doubles of both grey and red alien. Bolt at the top. Two bolt anchor.

Jingus the Cat

Rutabaga is a nicely varied pair of pitches. 
 
 P1 climbs the obvious but somewhat awkward crack to a bolted anchor (10b). 
 
 P2 continues up and right on very fun cracks to the left facing dihedral. Face holds, good locks and good protection take you up the dihedral past one crux to the top crux which requires some solid stemming, and while the protection right at the crux isn't as good as the rest of the route, there are bomber placements about five feet lower.

Standard Squamish rack for P1 to a bolted anchor. For P2, a good selection of stoppers from small (but not micro) to large. You can place many stoppers so bring enough slings or draws. You'll also want a good selection of small cams and at least a 1 and 2 camalot. I'm told that a green alien is good at the top crux, but I didn't have one so I'm not sure. Thanks to extra anchors to climber's left, the rappel from the top can be done with a single 70m and probably a single 60 (but not certain).

Rutabaga

In my opinion somewhat of a forgotten classic. The first two pitches of climbing tackle many varied cruxes. Your prize for questing up the delightful flakes and slabs of the lower pitches is the mellower but super classic third pitch corner. 
  
 P1) Start off of the large pancake flake leaning against the wall. Climb up, clip a bolt, and then pull the route's first crux, a burly and perplexing slab overlap. After clipping more bolts traverse right to a large layback flake. Ascend this flake placing gear until you reach a bolt, and pull some hard face/arete moves. Easier climbing leads to a bolted belay. 5.11b 
  
 P2) Easy but interesting slab moves lead to a bolt and a good stance before the route's technical crux, a thin techy slab problem. Pull the crux and then traverse up and left into a corner on easy but runout terrain. The bolt protected corner provides interesting arete/corner moves. Bolted anchor. 5.11c 
  
 P3) Ascend the beautiful right-facing layback corner, eventually exiting left up a system of cracks. Bolted belay. 5.10c 
  
 Three double rope raps down the route will reach the ground.

Uphill from seasoned in the sun, starting off of a very distinct pancake flake.
Doubles to #2 Camalot, stoppers, quickdraws, two ropes recommended for the rappels.

Ghostdancing

Merci Me is a fun face route that continues for two more pitches where Apron Strings ends.  It's pretty runout (there are only eight bolts total for both pitches combined) but the climbing isn't that hard and most leaders that can climb Apron Strings should be fine.

Merci Me starts where Apron Strings ends.  Two double rope rappels down the same route or using the anchor at the top of pitch one for Grey Matter will get you to the Flake Trail (I think one 70m rope might work but I'm not 100% on that, find out first!)  From here you can scramble down the Flake Trail or do one more 60m rappel down Sense of Urgency to the ground.
Pitch one has three bolts to a two bolt anchor, pitch two has five bolts to a two bolt anchor.

Merci Me

This is a great climb among the great climbs along the base of the Chief. This ones starts easier than some, but it turns into a classic fingers and tight hands crack. At the little roof the crack becomes a lot more consistent and tougher, but the locks are great, considerably better than Seasoned in the Sun.

This climb is at the far right side of the Chief Base, just about below the Dihedrals area. The area is fairly distinct for being in a pleasant hollow with only one other route nearby (Rutabega). This climb crosses the one-foot overlap at its apex.
This climb will take plenty of medium to large stoppers as well as doubles or triples of the finger and tight hand sized cams. The largest piece you could place would be a #1 camalot at the overlap, but there are many alternatives. There is one very old bolt near the top and then a good two bolt anchor with chains. NOTE: with a 70m rope you can get down, but you have to be careful to take advantage of the base sloping up to the left and rope stretch. With anything shorter, you'll need to use two ropes to get down. Alternatively, the leader can top belay (on a very nice ledge) and the second can bring up the second rope. If you're SUPER careful, you can rap with a single 60m rope if you land to the left, where the ground slopes upward. Use knots!

Arrowroot

Follow clean cracks and features up the interface between the clean slab of the lower Grand Wall, and the major flake/ledge features on the left. This is mostly comprised of a major right-facing corner/flake system and has a prominent chimney 1/3 of the way up. 
  
 This pitch is sustained and harder than it looks, involving physical climbing of many sorts (chimney, wide crack, laybacking).

The top of the pitch puts you at the base of P2 of Apron Strings (moving left) or P1 of Cruel Shoes (moving right). 

From the base of the Grand Wall, this climb is located left of the left-facing corner of The Peasants Route, and just right of the thin layback crack "Apron Strings".
Double set of cams to 3" and a set of nuts.

The Flake

A good long forgotten route. The first pitch was cleaned up for Flex Capacitor, the second pitch needs a makeover.
The first pitch is a sustained 5.9 fingers layback that seems to always surprise the unsuspecting leaders I see get on it.
When you reach the bolted anchor you traverse left ( north ) around trees and from a ledge around the corner go up a right facing corner.
There are loose holds, lots of moss and lichen and some fun climbing.
I found this pitch to be more relaxed with a few moves of 5.9.

Hangup is a 5.9 variation that starts up the first pitch. About 3/4 the way up there is a groove leading left where the other two routes continue with the steep layback on the right and up to the bolted anchor. Hangup traverses about 10 meters up and left, and then down about 8 meters crossing Moving to Montana. It meets up with Peasants route.

Standard rack up to #3 with plenty of finger size cams for 1st pitch. 1st anchor is a good bolted anchor. 2nd pitch anchor does not really exist, it was a very faded series of slings knotted behind a flake with a nut that was very poorly placed. There are some trees near this that would be better if you brought sling material . If someone wants to add a bolted anchor that would be awesome.

Friendly Lizard

The crux is definitely the first pitch - very sustained laybacking with delicate smearing. The higher you climb, the thinner it gets. Not super technical but sustained and pumpy. 
 
 The second pitch starts with thin laybacking, but after pulling around an a little roof/corner feature, you'll zig-zag up an easy (5.5 or so) off-width crack before finishing on another sweet ledge (and the first pitch of Mercy Me).

Gear (and rock) are impeccable. Pitch One: One fixed piece about 20 feet up the first pitch. Bolted belays; bring two ropes for the rap. Medium rack, a few small TCU's, and at least two 3.5 to 4 inch pieces for the wide stuff up top.

Apron Strings

This is a probably a Squamish top-ten short route on most people's lists. 
  
 Its two pitches are themselves reasonably short, but it's often done as a single long pitch (probably not possible with a 50m rope, but 60 is fine).  You can rap twice or bring a second rope and do one long rappel. 
  
 The crux comes shortly after the first belay station and requires careful smearing while reaching between small but good finger locks.

This is the first distinct crack right of the Peasant's Route dihedral, which is right of the Apron Strings dihedral system.  It looks short from below, but don't be fooled.
Excellent the entire way.  Primarily small nuts and small cams up to tight hands.  Take lots of them, especially the nuts, and especially if you're going to link the two pitches.  You probably won't need a hand-sized piece until the final fifteen feet, by which time the difficulty has eased somewhat.

Exasperator

Thin crack with a low crux.  The feet are surprisingly good and the finger jams are reasonable (and continually get better).

Between teenage wasteland and commando crack.  More broadly, between exasperator and flex capacitor.
Micro nuts at the bottom, RPs are nice.  A few tiny cams.  After the crack widens the climbing is quite easy, but having a .75,1 and 2 will be useful.

Knacker Cracker

Easy hand jamming in a fine setting. 
 Up a 5.8 hand crack for 50 feet to chains. Descend from there, or (better yet), step easily right into Rutabaga and climb a 5.9 hand crack for another 40 feet to the chains on that route.

Turnip

An engaging route with some excellent face/slab climbing.  Moving to Montana is very similar in style and quality to Cruel Shoes, just a little harder and a bit more heady. 
  
 This climb has been retro-scrubbed and its rusty 1/4" bolts were replaced in an excellent gesture of public service. 
  
 p1 (11a): Originally graded 10d, I think this pitch should be bumped up as the recent cleaning removed a stump that provided a key rest/foothold.  Some easy climbing gets you to a bolt, but the the next 15' are hard and a bit scary.  You then get a great rest before a section of sustained tips laybacking/smearing. 
  
 p2 (10a): I've seen this pitch rated 5.9 and 10b but I think 10a is reasonable.  From the belay climb some easy cracks to an overlap before boldly breaking out left onto the slab where a bolt will get you to the belay. 
  
 p3 (10c):  Tricky face climbing past 2 bolts leads to a 'memorable mantle' that must be executed before you get the 3rd bolt.  The runout is about 20' and the mantle move is probably about 5.8 or 9.  Move left into a nice crack and under-cling it as it arches right past another couple of bolts.  A long and excellent pitch. 
  
 p4 (11a):  The Money.  Step down from the belay and traverse right along an under-cling with good pro.  Climb up on the hanging slab at the obvious opportunity and move up easily to clip a bolt.  Weave a devious line up and down across the slab past 3 more bolts, sustained all the way to the anchor.

Doubles from small (purple metolius) to #1 (red) camalots, singles in #2 and #3.  A single grey metolius (or equivalent) is not a bad idea, but not critical

Moving to Montana

As with the Grand Wall Area, the Grand Wall Base Area faces west, but as many of the routes are shorter, there is a lot more shade from the forest.  This area runs from the Dihedrals area in the south to the University Wall are in the north. 
  
 The routes tend to be steep slab/face and beautiful cracks. 
  
 Helmets are highly recommended as the face above holds popular routes and trails.  Stuff does come down somewhat regularly.
