The Turtle

A new area developed in Spring 2017 with closely bolted beginner and moderate sport routes. Lots of routes have steep sections so can feel tough for the grade. The area is on private property with a supportive landowner that lives approximately 100m downhill from the cliff, so be on your best behaviour to keep this area opened.

Parking is available at an unsupervised lot off of Walkers Line. Parking reservations are still mandatory and can be obtained from the Conservation Halton website.

The crag was closed temporarily in 2018 due to excessive noise. Recently re-opened in 2021, this crag now requires a permit and caps out at twelve climbers per day. The permit can be obtained free-of-charge up to two days prior from the OAC.
