Conservation Halton Parks
Description
[Edit]Conservation Halton is a Conservation Agency run in partnership with the Government of Ontario to "protect and enhance the natural environment from lake to escarpment for present and future generations." — Mission statement
Its service area extends eastward from Burlington to Halton Hills, and the agency operates seven conservation parks open year-round. Access is permitted via a reservation system with a nominal day-use fee (or an annual pass), and parking is included.
Three of these parks have access to the Niagara Escarpment, and local developers have established crags for public recreation.
Access Restrictions
- Rattlesnake Point is the only crag that allows top roping and instructional climbing
- Climbers must use provided anchors, do not sling any trees.
