Treasury
Description
[Edit]Treasury is a somewhat recently developed area at the top of Steven's Pass - some of the key developers were Joe Stangel, Tyler B., Russell Hitch, Dean Baggs, and Josh Bennett so a big thanks to them! The fields are located within the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness area, so please practice Leave No Trace principles when visiting - do not litter, clean up pet poop and your own waste.
Treasury is accessible in the summer (once snow on the road melts enough to access) and early fall and becomes fully snowed in for the entire winter. Some summer months are incredibly buggy - you want to shoot to get here RIGHT after the melt before the bugs come out, or later in the summer/early fall when the bugs are dead. If you go in July, bring some powerful bug spray.
When coming from Seattle, take a left off of Highway 2 onto Tye Road. Travel ~2.4 miles down the road and park just before the 3rd switch back (there is parking on both sides of the road here). The trail into the bouldering area is on the north side of the road and approaches from here range from 10-40 minutes.
