Description

[Edit]

Saint George is rich with small sport crags and with bouldering. The rock is mainly sandstone and cannot be climbed immediately after rain - please allow for 1-3 days for the climbs to dry out after rain, depending on sun exposure and intensity of rain event. There is some basalt and limestone in the broader area as well.

The most prominent bouldering in the area is Moe's Valley, though several other smaller side areas exist as well, such as Cottonwood Springs.

Sport and trad can be found at many small crags around Saint George, such as Chuckawalla Wall, Black Rocks (basalt), Snow Canyon State Park and Prophesy wall. Limestone crags include Woodbury Road and Utah Hills.
