Beavers, The

A neat area with a short approach. Navigate to 38.796703, -120.019884 on S Upper Truckee Road and park in the lot which will fit a dozen or so cars. From there, take a trail up the east side of the Upper Truckee River for a couple of minutes until you reach the boulder.

You can also do a river crossing directly across from the boulder when the water is low.
