The Ritual

This is probably the best single line at Shagg for many reasons. It is perfectly progressive, getting harder and hard until the 5.9 jug last bolt.

Start up low angle 5.5 chimney that leads you up to a chain anchor. Mantle just to the right of the anchor into lichen and launch into the 5.6 slab. Then some 5.10 face climbing, a 5.11 mantle (if it feels like 5.13 you didn't find it), and then the fun really begins.

To work from the ground with a 70m rope, I recommend a triple alpine on the chain draw, double quickdraws on the 5.10 bit, skip the bolt on the slab after the mantle, then one triple and three double alpines followed by doubled and eventually singled quickdraws (skip one in the final crux to send)
