Shagg Crag

Shagg Crag is Maine's premiere sport climbing destination featuring a rare layout of steep granite jugs with bands of gneiss and schist to add variety and difficulty.

Located in Little Concord Pond State Park. Start up the trail and when you get to the junction at the pond, head up the hill. Eventually you'll see a well warn trail to the right with a cairn that features an arrow and climbing stick figure. This trail was established by The Shagg Crag No 1 Sheriff after someone tried to establish a new pointless trail that saved no time or energy and was an environment disaster.
