Description

[Edit]

A classic Leavenworth area, Forestlands has dozens of high quality climbs across a wide grade range. A 5-10 minute walk from your car, this area is a staple of Leavenworth climbing. Take a right onto a dirt road around 5.7 miles up the Icicle and park in the lot at the end of the road. There will be a sign and trail for forestlands on the uphill side of the lot, and you can also walk down to Barney's Rubble on the downhill side of the lot.

Forestlands has a lower and upper section. The lower is the cluster of boulders you come across earlier on the trail centered around the Shield Boulder. To get to upper forestlands, walk past this and around a switchback and walk another minute. The first boulder you pass will be Lovage and you'll be able to see the tall Ruminator Boulder soon after.
