Goat Rock

It takes about 15-40 min to approach this area from the free Castle Rock parking lot. Expect it to be closer to 40 min to get here if you are a slower hiker and haven't been here before. It's about a 1 mile hike and there are lots of cool views to get distracted by!

This is a great spot to climb at the easy easy to moderate grades with simple top rope setup, lead climbing and even multipitch practice opportunities.

The base stays somewhat shaded on hot days, but the rock face gets a lot of direct sun.

It can get crowded on weekends.
