THE GOOD STUFF!

Sit start on a boulder and traverse jug underclings for a few moves, then exit through the tight squeeze formed by 3 boulders. There is a very cool sequence to navigate this thing..pretty unique.

Far Away Horse

Fun slab problem adjacent to the Shield. Start with hands around head high. Pull-on and journey to the top.

Slab

Awesome problem. Cool holds, great flow, and a scary mantle to finish it off.

Sit start on a cool blocky hold. Work through some crimps to the obvious slanted rail. Match, then fire to the lip and bust out the committing mantle.

If anyone knows what this is, let me know and I will update the page.

Unknown

Start on good side rail, make some tricky moves up through slopers, then head left on good holds to the lip.

Top is easy, but still a little chossy. 4-5 pads and a spotter or two would be good.

The Fin

This problem climbs the upper rail on the shield face.  Start on a large flat hold and move straight up to a great RH pinch. COntinue u and left on the rail to join the top out of the shield.

Start in the undercling and move up and slighly left to the good edge. from here delicate moves lead straight up the wall. Great fun.

Left Shield Face

A sweet crimp line only marred by the awkward position it's in.

Start low on the obvious crimp rail. Move through the series of cool edges to a jug over left, and a couple of committing moves to finish. Watch for grain on the topout.

A slightly harder variation goes right from the start to a low sidepull, then traverses back left to the same finish.

Scared to Come Out of the Closet

V4 version starts with a left hand on the juggy right facing side edge about 6ft up, and right hand on the rail to the right.

figure out how to reach the gritty shelf, then move left around the lip to top out. The top lip directly above the start seems thin enough to be a little sketchy to pull hard on, just top out to the left.

(V6 starts on the right of the rail, maybe ~V7/8 on a crimpy edge even further over)

The Shield

Start on the undercling slightly right of the left arete.  Pull-on and move up and left to mantle slightly around the corner. Great fun, but the top is a bit chossy.

Left Arete Shield

Climb the right side of the sweeping overhang.  Start standing at an obvious edge.  Climb past a good right hand sidepull. The crux is getting to and establishing on the lip at about 20 feet.  To my knowledge, this climb has only been toproped and is a prime candidate for a bouldering ascent.  There is a nice spotter's perch on the slab at your back, but an awkward fall could be bad--be careful!

The Red C

Start left hand on low left edge and right in the undercling. Pull-on and move right to join the shield. Adds powerful moves into the shield.
